Duo Siqueira Lima is one of the most prestigious chamber ensembles, having won the Profissionais da Música Award 2015 in Brazil and the International Press Award 2014 in the United States. Their work features music from the classical repertoire to popular music of Latin America.

The Siqueira Lima guitar duo is formed by Cecilia Siqueira, born in Uruguay, and Fernando de Lima from Minas Gerais, Brazil. Cecilia and
Fernando are recognized for their technical and interpretive virtuosity and daring and original arrangements for two guitars. Since 2003, they have toured the world performing in major European capitals, and many cities in North America as well as sojourns to Africa and Russia. They are favorites
throughout the major music centers in Latin America and in the prestigious halls of Lincoln Center (New York), New World Center (Miami), and Concertgebouw (Amsterdam) among others.

"Cecilia Siqueira, from Uruguay, and Fernando de Lima, from Brazil were more geographically diverse in pieces as finely detailed as a Fabergé egg.”
NEW YORK TIMES - 22th January 2014

Their versatility and ample musical interest have already resulted in four different albums:
• • Tudo Concorda - Independently released – Brazil - 2002 Extensive repertoire, ranging from classical to popular music.
• • Lado a Lado - Independently released – Ireland - 2006 Original arrangements of popular Brazilian music.
• • Um a Um - GHA Records - Belgium - 2010 Their second album is dedicated to Brazilian music, with original arrangements and playing for the first time brand new songs created especially for the duo.

Cecilia and Fernando met at the II International Guitar Contest Pró-Música/SESC in 2001 in Caxias do Sul, a city in the south of Brazil. They tied for first place among participants from several countries. This event was critical for creating the duo and marked the beginning of an international career.
